Public Notice
The City of South Padre Island is soliciting a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, from experienced
engineers to provide services for the development of a living shoreline
within the Laguna Madre. The selected engineering firm will need to provide qualifications, a project proposal, and a timeline. Scope of work includes 60% of design completion by March 2022. The
RFQ packet is available on the City’s website at www.myspi.org. All
inquiries regarding the RFQ should be directed to Erika Hughston at
956-761-8111 or via email at ehughston@myspi.org.
RFQ’s are due by 2:00 p.m. on October 5th, 2021, after which all
qualified responses will be opened and acknowledged at 4601 Padre Boulevard South Padre Island, Texas 78597. Any packets received
after the specified deadline will be returned unopened.
Sealed RFQ’s are required to be clearly marked with the RFQ number
(2021-SL03), the title (Professional Services for the Design of the
Laguna Madre Living Shoreline) and must be addressed to the City
of South Padre Island-City Secretary. The RFQ’s must be delivered
