How did Halloween start?
Halloween started 2,000 years ago in, which is now Ireland.
They celebrated New Years on Halloween Called “Samhain” it is named after the lord of the dead.
These people sacrificed their crops by burning them in a big bonfire & dressed up in animal fur.
Trick or treat!
A cartoon was made in 1951 (peanut cartoon strip).
After a year Disney made a cartoon with Donald duck in 1952 called trick or treat.
Costumes!
The first costumes were in Ireland made by animal skin
The original purpose of Halloween costume was meant for scaring people
Halloween costumes were for kids to wear but by the mid 20th century bit by bit adults started to wear them
