From The President Bruce Johnson
I’m glad to see so many of you at our spring educational meeting and if you didn’t make it you missed hearing Claudia Probst.
Claudia is an expert on powdery mildew, which we do now have in the Flathead, and she gave us good ideas on prevention and control.
The next coop meeting is the pre-harvest meeting scheduled for July 8th. Please plan on attending to get the latest on 2017 cherry conditions , the market and updates for harvesting. Also we will be electing three board of directors.
This is also a reminder to do your GAP updates for 2017. Water sampling bottles
are available at the Environmental Health Department of Lake County, located
on the third floor of the court house. Phil Nelson will be here in June to conduct
pre-audits and help us get our books in order.
The Board of Directors is continuing to work with Tabletree juice to convert a
portion of the Finley Point warehouse into a juice processing and bottling plant.
We hope to be giving you all tours during this harvest season.
Hoping to see all of you on July 8th. Bruce
