March 1-7:DespitewaninginterestonTwitterfortheParklandShootingandguncontrolproposals(bothdown67percentfromlastweek)aswellastheNationalRifleAssociation(down74percent),thethreecombineddrewmorethan3.3millionrelatedtweets.Despitethisdrawdowninnationalattentionontheplatform,advocateswonacompromiseintheFloridalegislatureonWednesday,institutingathree-daywaitingperiodonthepurchaseoflonggunsand,critically,increasingtheageofpurchasingsuchweaponsto21from18.Theshooterwas19.Additionalfindings,includingtweetsaboutTrump’stariffs,thespecialelectioninPennsylvania18withDemocratConorLambnowup3%inaTrump+20%district,HopeHicks’departure,andTrump’16advisorSamNunberg’sTVmeltdownsareavailableonMedium.
