The program curriculum will have a special emphasis on

•Objectives1.Improve religious literacy both to increase young peoples’ knowledge and awareness of

their faith, and as a means of rehabilitating those enticed by extremist movements.

2.Provide young people with mentors with whom they can relate and enable them to think critically about how to relate religious principles to their lives.

3.Encourage dialogue, build understanding and equip young people with the theological fundamentals to argue against extremist ideologies and dispel misconceptions.

• The Australian Multicultural Foundation has released a Community Awareness Training Manual for Building Resilience in the Community • The manual is designed for Australian Communities to:

• Assist in building resilience to help prevent radicalisation which can lead to a violent extremism

• Increase awareness and understanding about processes of radicalisation using The Radicalisation Indicator Model (TRIM) developed by Monash University

• Dispel some of the misconceptions and misinformation about counter terrorism and radicalisation .

• The manual was designed in consultation with the community, religious leaders, police and government.
