On Monday, 1st February, students in Grades 4 - 6 travelled to
Oakleigh Pool for the annual House Swimming Carnival. The weather
forecast was kind to us this year and made for great swimming
conditions. Students participated in a range of 25m and 50m events
to earn points towards their house.
The atmosphere was fantastic with students, and teachers all
supporting our brave swimmers during events, with words of
encouragement and cheering. This week at assembly the results for
the winner of our House Swimming Carnival will be announced. We
look forward to seeing which house will hold up the cup for 2021.
House Swimming Carnival
It has been a smooth start to the year and students have settled
back into school very nicely across all year levels. Our Preps have
also done a brilliant job and have started school with vigour and
confidence. Last night our Prep teachers held individual information
sessions with our new parents and had the opportunity to meet their
child’s teacher. We know that due to the current pick up
arrangements that the Grade 1 parents have also had opportunities
to meet their child’s teacher in person, but other year levels have
not. So, in addition to the Teacher-Parent Interviews via Zoom that
are occurring next week we are also going to run some grade level
meet and greet sessions at 3.30pm, whereby you can come in at
pick up time and connect with other parents and say hello to your
child’s teacher. These events will take place outside in the yard
(location TBD) and social distancing must be adhered to, along with
the 15 minute time limit. These events are optional and we also un-
derstand that the timing may not suit everyone, but we want to pro-
vide this important opportunity to help build positive relationships.
These events will occur on the following days:
Grade 2: Thursday 4th February 3.30pm-3.45pm
Grade 3: Friday 5th February 3.30pm-3.45pm
Grade 4: Wednesday 10th February 3.30pm-3.45pm
Grade 5: Thursday 11th February 3.30pm-3.45pm
Grade 6: Friday 12th February 3.30pm-3.45pm
We look forward to seeing you there.

Principal

If you wish to join a Sub committee please indicate on the form below and return to the School Office by Tuesday, 9th February.
