FUNNY FACTS• The human foot has 18 muscles;

• 25 % of all the bones in the human body are found

in the foot;

• The slide fastener (zipper) was invented as a

waterproof closure for galoshes in 1893;

• Maxwell Smart was the first secret agent who had

a telephone built into his shoe; 

• Imelda Marcos, wife of deposed Philippine

president, has 1500 pairs of shoes.

CONCLUSIONS• This is the only shoe museum in the world;

• It tells a fascinating story of how one determined

woman amassed this collection and built the Museum;

• It changes its exhibitions, so there's always something

new to see;
