Tomás Ó Ruairc is CEO of the Teaching Council in Ireland since 2012 and will be chairing this webinar.

Ciara O’ Donnell is the National Director of theProfessional Development Service for Teachers(PDST), Ireland’s largest Continuing ProfessionalDevelopment provider. Ciara is a primary schoolteacher seconded from Bawnoge NationalSchool, Clondalkin and has worked inContinuing Teacher Education since 2002working in three separate DES support services.

She has held her current position as Director ofthe PDST since 2013 and her current researchwork includes teacher education, schoolleadership and curriculum.

He is alsoa writer, speaker, consultant and policy adviser.Andy is the founder of the ARC EducationProject of which Ireland is a member. This is agroup of nations committed to broadly definedexcellence, equity, wellbeing, inclusion,democracy and human rights in professionallyrun systems.

His growing up memoir of inequity & socialmobility – Moving – is published on June 2.

Deanne Fishburn is the Director of theQueensland College of Teachers since May 2019.She is a leader who has national influence inteacher regulation in Australia and a personalunderstanding of teachers’ work and child safety.

Deanne joined the Professional Standards Unit ofthe Queensland College of Teachers in 2007 andhas implemented national reforms to InitialTeacher Education and Professional Standards inQueensland.
