About The Agenda

The Agenda was put together as our contribution to give back to a community that has made our Northwestern Experience significant. The Agenda is a yearbook that showcases everything that happened in our black community at NU this year. Every quarter hosts a slew of events that play a large role in the community, and in the next pages we break down all the major moments . Whether it’s the Welcome Back BBQ, Afropollo, Caribfest, or Harambee, each event in the year had an impact on our experiences at NU. "Most importantly, we had to show off our senior class. Each senior wrote a message, quote, or word of advice they wanted to leave as a legacy to their time at NU – specifically, each message highlights their unique experience as an NU black student.

"We also wanted to highlight some of the hashtags that our class has used to describe our 4 years at NU. The hashtag page displays all the fun sayings and comments that served as subtext to each passing event, class, day, or quarter. "The Agenda is a pillar under our fundraising efforts for The Class Gift 2014: #myblackhouse Campaign. This campaign was put together to encourage seniors – as rising alums – to give back to our home. We feel there will always be a need to fix, improve, and sustain our home. No one can do that job better than us. "We hope you enjoy The Agenda, and CONGRATULATIONS to the Class of 2014. "
