In addition, TEXSAR members participated in self-paced training programs, through FEMA, which provide training and resources on the Incident Command System (ICS). All members are required to complete ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800. Advanced courses ICS 300 and 400 expand upon the information covered in the basic courses and prepares members for Command Leadership positions within the organization.*Certification courses are paid for by the members.
In 2018, TEXSAR was honored to host Robert Koester, an expert on Lost Person Behavior. Mr. Koester led a two--day training for over 30 TEXSAR members and guests. TEXSAR brought his expertise, reasearch, and expereiences to our team. Mr. Koester trained 10 TEXSAR members in a train-the-trainer course that enables them to lead additional Lost Person Behavior trainings.trainings.
A special thanks to Keller Williams Realty International for donating the training venue.
