Terragr’Eau, a collective methanizer to protect the watershed and foster the sustainability of local farming

Protecting the water resource, a priority

41 farmers, 16 towns and the company EVIAN joined forces and work hands in hands to find solutions to the challenges met by the territory since 1992

Their common objectives are to:

• Preserve the Evian natural mineral water and the drinking water consumed by over 10,000 residents

• Protect 1,300 direct jobs that cannot be performed elsewhere and several hundred indirect jobs

• Allow the production of 1.6 billion bottles of Evian every year, i.e. 7 million per day.

How it works ?

to refill the evian spring

fertilizers

By improving crops and grasslands

Evian® water catchment area certified as a Ramsar Site (“Impluvium d'Evian” Site no. 1833).

The first natural spring water infiltration zone recognized as a wetland of international importance.
