Families and the Gospel John 6:51-58
Parenting is a Eucharistic activity because from the first
moment of conception children consume us, our flesh,
blood, energy, time and resources. If we don’t sacrifice
ourselves, our children would not have life. This is the
priesthood of parenting. Christ is present in this self-
sacrifice.

THOUGHTS ON STEWARDSHIP
AS A WAY OF LIFE
“Because there is one bread, we who are many are one
body, for we all partake of the one bread.”
1 Corinthians 10: 17
As disciples of Jesus, we are called to lead holy lives
and invite others to join us. Living a stewardship
lifestyle, being grateful and generous with our gifts,
serves a twofold purpose. One, it helps build God’s
kingdom here on earth. Two, it helps us strengthen each
other’s relationship with God the Father, Jesus, and the
Holy Spirit. It becomes our road map to Heaven. Let’s
help each other get there!

Please remember that one can have a lot of money but still live a really poor life and one can have no money at all and live a really rich life, that’s because
what makes a person truly rich is not how much they
have but how much they give.

Plenary Indulgence: Bishop Mark stated that
those impacted during this time are eligible to
receive a Plenary Indulgence, which, according to the
Catechism, removes the temporal punishment due to sin.
The conditions for the Plenary Indulgence include
watching a televised Mass, praying the Rosary, the
Stations of the Cross or other devotions, or at least reciting
the Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and a pious invocation to the
Blessed Mother, offering this trial in a spirit of faith in God
and Charity towards one’s brothers and sisters. There
must be a true commitment to fulfilling the sacramental
obligations of Reconciliation and Eucharist as soon as
possible.
All are reminded that the Christian faithful are not
obliged to participate at Mass on Sunday due to the
circumstance of the Coronavirus pandemic. This
remains in effect until further notice.
Stewardship Reflection
By making a conscious attempt to practice
Christian stewardship as a way of life, we
demonstrate our unity with one another. The
Eucharist gives us life by uniting us with Christ,
with Christ’s Body, the Church, and with all whom
the Eucharist calls us to serve. To share this
communion now is already a taste of the fullness of
life that is promised in the Eucharist. Allow your
faith in the Eucharist to lead you to action to serve
the least of your brothers and sisters.
As we are only beginning to celebrate the Most
Holy Eucharist again as a community, no matter
how small, take this opportunity to express your
gratitude to our heavenly Father for the gift of “the
living bread that came down from heaven.” (John
6:51)

SUMMER REMINDER: MASS ATTIRE Each Sunday we gather as a parish community to
praise and thank our great God, to experience His
Loving mercy and place our needs before Him. We are
guided by His Word and nourished by His own Body
and Blood.
Parishioners of all ages are reminded that, although
the church has no set dress code, appropriate dress for
Mass includes clean, conservative and modest clothing,
expressing our heart’s devotion to God and our desire to
strengthen (vs distract from) the faith of those around
us.
There is a website www.masstimes.org where you
can find a catholic church as you are traveling. Please
use it so you don’t miss Sunday celebration of the
Eucharist.
