Objectives• The students would learn

illustration, editing and sketching techniques, using digital programs.

• They would learn graphic design and digital art to express their ideas clearly.

• They would remember and use their previous drawing class to achieve the objectives.

Objetivos• El alumno, utilizando

programas computacionales especializados, aprenderá a aplicar técnicas de ilustración, edición, diseño gráfico y bocetaje para lograr expresar claramente sus ideas.

• Aplicará técnicas de representación aprendidas previamente durante la carrera, para lograr el objetivo anterior.

(brainstorming, use of notes)

• Color theory and use of tools as: markers, color pencils, pen, stylographic pens, etc.

• Technical drawing (3D Views - Geometría descriptiva)

2nd Partial: Image editing and digital paint

Program: Photoshop• Speedpaint, sketch and pictures retouch, renders.• Lightning effects, textures, lights, shadows, brights,

hue and saturation.

• Edit pictures to create compositions and presentations: collage.

Programa: Photoshop• Uso de las herramientas básicas del programa.• Speedpaint y retoque de bocetos y renders.• Efectos de iluminación, texturas, sombras, brillos y

• Class tablets can be borrowed in the class time. Must be returned at the end of the class.

• For daily use can be borrowed in the DICI’s warehouse.

Work delivery

• Create an account in http://www.deviantart.com/ • Go to the group TDQRO2

( http://tdqro2.deviantart.com/ ) and send a request to join the group. In the emerging window write your name to recognise each one of you.

• The work must be submitted the next Wednesday, before 9am. If not, you’ll have to leave it in the delay folder and the maximum grade would be 90.

• Los archivos deben subirse el siguiente miércoles antes de las 9am, de lo contrario se recibirán con retardo y se evaluará sobre 90. Por cada día de retraso se bajarán 10 puntos.

perspective they think gives the most information.

2. Redesign the object using different drawing/sketching techniques you know (do as many sketches as you think you need)

3. Choose the best design and draw a better quality sketch (how would you present your idea?)

2. Hacer el rediseño del objeto donde aplique distintas técnicas de representación que conozcan (la cantidad que considere adecuada).

3. Revisar el rediseño y escoger el diseño que más les guste para finalmente desarrollar un boceto final de presentación.

The students are going to start getting used with the program, the digital tablet and the digital techniques.

El alumno comenzará a familiarizarse con el programa computacional, el uso de la tableta digital y la aplicación de la técnica digital.

Practice 1: Getting used to the digital tablet• Open a new file in letter size (21x27cms)• Throw lines using different kind of brushes: pen,

pencil, pen, airbrush, etc. Identify each one.• Later we are choosing a theme to make a drawing

exercise to start getting used with the tools.• When you finish your work you must save the file

in .jpg extension and submit it in your Deviantart account. Later submit it to the TDQRO2 group in the “Practice1” folder.

Práctica1: Reconocimiento de tableta• El alumno configurará la hoja de papel en la que

trabajará: tamaño carta (21x27cms)• Después hará lanzamiento de líneas utilizando las

distintas herramientas que posee Sketchbook pro: pluma, pincel, lápiz, aerógrafo, etc. para familiarizarse con el programa.

• Posteriormente se les asignará un tema para ilustrar donde utilicen las herramientas.

• Al terminar deberá guardar el archivo en .jpg y subirlo a su cuenta de Deviantart para posteriormente anexarlo al grupo TDQRO2 en la carpeta “Práctica1”
