“TietoEnator has supplied UPM-Kymmene with a global integration solution. It will be used to link UPM-Kymmene’s centralised information systems to what are at present more than 50 different units’ systems in Finland and at UPM-Kymmene’s business locations in Europe. The solutions arrived at in the course of the slightly under two years that the project has taken, currently embraces 80% of the company’s units. The project is continuing, and once completed it will cover all UPM-Kymmene units worldwide. The solution has been supplied by TietoEnator’s Production & Logistics division’s EAI Competence Center.”

TietoEnator supplies Metso with global integration solution and management services

TietoEnator has supplied Metso with an integration solution (EAI, Enterprise Application Integration) that links certain information systems within Metso Corporation globally. The companies have also signed a continuous service agreement giving TietoEnator responsibility for the management services of Metso’s EAI system.TietoEnator’s Digital Innovations Unit supplied the solution, which is based on the IBM WebSphere Business Integration -suite and links systems and applications used in different parts of Metso and handles the required data conversions between the systems. TietoEnator manages Metso’s EAI system as an outsourced service. The service includes a global help desk and the management and monitoring of servers, equipment capacity, databases, applications and the operating system.
