Chapter overview The California Eta chapter at San Jose State University was founded in March of 1964. Today, California Eta chapter represents the Davidson College of Engineering's top students from all engineering departments. The chapter strives to provide members with a rich experience, to make available tools for students to succeed, and to complete projects that improve our community. Our chapter was restarted in 2007 and has grown quite significantly. We started with an officer board with 4 members; for this year, we had up to 15 officers.

DESCRIPTION
I. General Description Michael Grace, an SJSU Mechanical Engineer and fellow Tau Bate, was happy to talk about his path toward Lockheed Martin. About half of his time was spent giving a talk, the other half was spent answering questions and expanding on answers. As someone just a few steps ahead of us (he graduated 5 years ago) we found his advice particularly relevant and interesting.
II. Purpose & Relationship to Objectives of TBP The purpose of this event was to answer questions that concerned students may have about their next steps in the world of internships here in Silicon Valley. He was able to offer advice about not just working with engineering concepts, but also how to work with other people. III. Organization & Administration (In conjunction with another group? Yes/No) Lockheed Martin IV. Cost & Personnel Requirements
Around $100 went towards a Chachos platter for all those who attended. V. Special Problems
The presenter was 30 min late but otherwise everything went smoothly and as planned. VI. Overall Evaluation Results (Be Specific)

DESCRIPTION
I. General Description
The very first meeting of the TBP Technical Robot Project. The project spans from Spring 2017 to Fall 2018. The meeting is every Wednesday and Thursday for discussions of progress, brainstorming, and objectives of each subteam. There are a total of three subteams: electrical, mechanical, and software. The objective of the project is to design and build a vertical scaling robot that uses unconventional maneuvering mechanism, rotors to generate lift and canceling out gravity, to climb and clean windows. The road map of the project is created with the aim to execute three robots with the first two robots being prototypes.
II. Purpose & Relationship to Objectives of TBP
The creation of the project is to allow engineering students to have hands on applications and apply theory learned from classes to execute a project. The project allows members to work in an interdisciplinary team all while demonstrating the ability to research and communicate under a time constraint. III. Organization & Administration (In conjunction with another group? Yes/No)
Part of the project is sponsorship by the think tank Singularity University through provisions of raw materials for building the robot.
IV. Cost & Personnel Requirements
Robotic parts - $500 roughly for the first semester.
V. Special Problems
The design and approach of the project constantly went through minor changes to work around the existed materials and budget constraint.
VI. Overall Evaluation Results (Be Specific)
The project has 15 dedicated members participating with a few members/candidates unable to continue due to conflicts or being too occupied overall by academics. However, during the progress of the first semester, the project gained a few additional participants during the way. The project is currently wrapping up its first revision. The first revision will be fully wrapped up by the beginning of Spring 2017 summer and the second revision will be finished by the end of summer. The final revision will be finished in Fall 2018.
