Qualityof Life

Parks, recreation sites and facilities are an important

component of Okanagan Falls residence quality of

life. The continued development of parks and

recreation facilities is necessary to accommodate a

changing and growing population in the Okanagan

Falls area. Okanagan Falls superior quality of life and

economic development potential depend on

maintaining and improving the quality of the

environment for aesthetic and recreational purposes.

In recent years, increased leisure time, a rise in the

standard of living and a growing young family and

elderly population have contributed to changes in the

demand for recreational sites and activities. Unless

these changes in individual and community recreation

needs are considered in the planning for parks,

recreational facilities and programs, participation and

public support for parks and recreation will decline —

resulting in a decreased quality of life in the area.

We need feedback, what do you see in the

future of your community?
