User-generated content, or UGC, iscontent created by users, such asmessages, Mii™ characters, images,photos, video, audio, QR Code™patterns, etc.
● Uploaded content may be seen byother users. It may also becopied, modified and redistributedby third parties.Once sent, you cannot deletesuch content or limit its usage, sobe careful.
Exchanging UGC
● Any uploaded content may beremoved without notice. Nintendomay also remove or hide contentwhich is considered to beunsuitable.
● When uploading content orcreating content for upload...- Do not include any information
that can be used to identify youor a third party personally, suchas your or a third party's name,email address, address ortelephone number.

Touch a course element in thepalette and then touch somewhereon the screen to add it there. Youcan move Mario by touching andsliding, or with /.
Touch "Create" on the title screenor "Create a Course" on the mainmenu (p. 10) to start constructinga course.

Here are a few techniques to helpyou create courses.
Touc to set the course'stime limit and the speed of theautoscroll feature. Adjusting theseaspects can change the difficultyof a course. Try setting a reallyshort time limit or a super fastautoscroll to change the feel ofthe gameplay!

You can select multiple courseelements at once by pressing /once, then dragging across thetouch screen. This will select allelements within the highlightedarea. Press / twice and you willreturn to the placement screen,where you can then move theselected elements together as oneunit.
By touching Mario and dragginghim into a pipe, you can create asub area on the other side of thepipe. Tou to switch betweenediting the main area and the subarea within the pipe.
Sele from thpalette and toucthe screen to latracks in up to eigdirections. Thdirections you can lay a track inwill be displayed as dots to bejoined. Drag an enemy or otherelement onto the track and it willmove along the track. Tap the endpoint of a track to switch itbetween the returning and dead-end types.

8 Play a Course
Touch "Play" from the title screenor touch "Super Mario Challenge"or "Course World" from the mainmenu (p. 10) to try out variouscourses.
If you bump into an enemy asSmall Mario or fall into a hole, or ifyour time limit runs out, you'll losea life. In "Super Mario Challenge"and "100 Mario Challenge", losinga life will deduct one from the totalnumber of Marios you have left.When there are none left, it'sgame over.♦ If you fail the same course five
times in a row in "Super MarioChallenge", you can get an itemat the start of your nextattempt.
Get Mario to the goal within thegiven time limit. For info on how tocontrol Mario, see p. 9.

To activate SpotPass, selefrom the main menu and togglethe Information Sharing option to
