Fun in the Sun

• Sunscreen• Bug repellent• Water• Avoid direct sunlight• Never adventure alone• Check fire danger levels

Signs of overexposure

• Heavy Sweating • Muscle Cramping• Disorientated/ Confusion• Headache• Nausea / Vomiting

Mild Dehydration

• Dry, sticky mouth • Sleepiness or tiredness — children are

likely to be less active than usual • Thirst • Dry skin • Headache • Constipation • Dizziness or lightheadedness

Severe Dehydration• Extreme thirst • Extreme fussiness or sleepiness in infants and children;

irritability and confusion in adults • Very dry mouth • Shriveled and dry skin that lacks elasticity and doesn't

"bounce back" when pinched into a fold • Low blood pressure • Rapid heartbeat • Rapid breathing • No tears when crying • Fever • Delirium or unconsciousness

• Take your weight Divide by two and that

will be how many oz you need to drink a day.

• (Weight/2= OZ of water )

To the Parents of four legged children

• NEVER LEAVE YOUR PETS IN A VEHICHLE WITH THE WINDOWS UP

• Do not leave home with out– A leash– A frozen water bottle and dish

Before you leave home

• Do a vehicle inspection– Functioning and visible head lights and tail

lights (Drive with lights on so your more visible to other drivers)

– Window washer fluid (its dusty and you need full visibility at all times)

Hiking

• Be prepared• Check weather• Be familiar with wildlife dangers and take proper

precautions• Dress accordingly • Bring fanny pack with essentials• Never go alone • And always tell somebody where your going and

when you will be back.

What to pack• Water• Food• Sunscreen • Hat / Bandana• Bug spray • Flashlight with fresh batteries • Map and compass• Knife• First aid kit• Good shoes-Sandals and flip flops are really poor

choices, leaving your feet open to injury

Fishing• Adults need to have their fishing licenses• Check fishing regulations • Water proof gear• Eye protection (hooks don’t make nice

piercing)• Life jackets (especially children)• Warm dry gear• Bug spray• Be aware of bears since we share food

they will also be fishing the good spots

Camping

• Be aware of your surroundings• Do not build fires when there are fire bans• Check weather and pack for all seasons• Make sure food coolers stay COLD. • Keep garbage and toiletry area away from

camp but not so far away nobody can hear you.

• Helmet• Eye Protection• Pants• Long Sleeves• Boots• Body Armor-Chest protector/ Kidney Belt• Gloves

Be respectful

• No matter what out door activity your doing remember to be respectful

• Don’t pick and kick • Stick to the trail• Use the right trail• Pick up your trash and trash that others

were to careless to pick up

• Be prepared• Think safe• Always tell somebody where you

are going and when you will be back

• Never go alone• DRINK WATER
