On Friday, September 5, our chapter
headed over to the beautiful city of
San Clemente for a weekend full for
an informational and fun Recruitment
Retreat.
Cassandra Magana, our VP of
Membership, created folders –
Recruitment Bibles – filled with
helpful tips for creating a perfect
Formal Recruitment process.

Our Sisterhood Chair, Bita Roshannia,
held two sisterhood events where
girls exchanged gifts and were able
to share why we love our sisters.
Thanks to the help of Lindsey Lopez,
we were treated to a Mary Kay
demonstration where we gave
ourselves mini facials.
Although this weekend was filled
3
with a lot of workshops, Cassandra
made it fun with themed days,
including Saving the Day, One Heart
One Way, where the we dressed as
our favorite superhero.
Lastly, I would like to offer a big
thank you to our sister and
Recruitment Supervisor, Jaime Riley,
for coming in and getting us
extremely prepared for recruitment!

Sigma Kappa is our home
away from home!
As many of you know, social media
has become the most accessible way
for PNMs to see what our chapter is
all about.
2
Our 2014 Recruitment Video is up
on YouTube, and it would been the
world if you could take just 5 minutes
to watch it. It’s really cute and our
chapter is so proud of it!
I have attached the link to this email!

Reflect: How has Sigma Kappa and Zeta Upsilon changed your life?
+
1
Everyone says, “It’s not four years, it’s for
life”, and I’m happy to say that I agree.
I know that Sigma Kappa and our chapter
has left a last impact on all of our lives,
and because of this, I think it would be
really great if active members, PNMs, and
anyone else at Cal Poly Pomona could see
why.
If you have time, I would love to hear how
this sisterhood and this chapter has
changed your life for the better during
your years in college, as well as after
college.
2
You could either:
1) Write a post on SigKap Cal Poly’s
Facebook page.
Or
2) Email me your thoughts at,
skzyvpar@gmail.com, and I would love to
share them on our chapter’s social media.
