Once a student asked Socrates what is the secret of success.

Socrates told the student to meet him near the river next morning.

They walked towards the river and then onto the river. Suddenly Socrates ducked

him into the water.

The student struggled to hold his breath.

When he couldn’t hold it any further, Socrates pulled his head out of water

The student gasped and took a deep breath, sighed and relaxed.

Socrates asked, “What did you want the most when you were there?”

The student replied, “Air.”

Socrates said, “That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air, you will

get it.”
