Prevent erosion by terraces Alternate livestock food to prevent

overgrazing Use animal waste as fertilizer for crops Vegetation and soil retention improves soil

structure and water availability Land becomes more productive and able to

produce food

Heaving manual labor necessary Produce enough food to live on May produce more to buy other necessities
