Let’s walk through an SST using the system….

SST Step What to complete in AccelSST1. Teacher refers student. SST chair adds student to system and enters basic

demographic information.

2. SST chair notifies teacher and teacher completes background information.

Student Status DescriptionsStatus Description

New Student A student that has been added to the system and does not have any data saved on forms.

SST In Progress A student who is in the SST process whether it is initial referral, intervention, or review.

Pending Referral A student that has been referred for a special education assessment, but has not yet been added in SEIS. OR A student who was declined in SEIS because forms their forms were not viewable or the records did not meet minimum standards for a referral to have been made OR A student that has been referred for a Section 504 assessment, alternative education program, or other referral.

Referral Complete A student that has been referred for a special education assessment and has been added to SEIS.

Exited A student that has been exited from the SST process.Ineligible A student that was referred to SEIS, but was not eligible for an

assessment plan.Moved A student that has moved to a district outside the AccelSST

system.Did Not Qualify A student who was assessed for special education, but did

not qualify.

Enter email to ensure it is correct• This is important because the system uses email addresses for password

retrieval and to let teachers know about important SST events

Only the interventions attempted are checked off.

Once the form is completed the

green check mark is clicked

at the top of the form.

Continuation of the Pre-SST form.

End of Pre SST form. Teacher indicates

outcomes and how long interventions

have been in place.

After form is completed and

saved the teacher clicks the green

checkmark at the top of the page.

Even though Math and Written

Expression are not areas of concern

the present levels are indicated.

Areas that aren’t a concern are

indicated.

Since Jane is identified as ELL, the teacher must

now complete the ELL

Supplemental Form

Continuation of the Student Referral Form.

Universal screening data should be included, if

available.

Completed since Jane is an ELL. Note: Only the

items which the teacher knows are completed. Others are left

blank. The form can be edited later. If you’re unsure then do

not guess. Interviews with

the parent can be conducted during the SST meeting

to confirm answers that are relevant to the

problem.

ELL form continued. Again, only known

fields are completed.
