PRESENTATION TOPIC:(6.2) STRATEGIES FOR MANAGING POTENTIAL DISCIPLINARY ISSUES BEFORE THEY BECOME PROBLEMS.

Self Discipline“the rode may be hard but the result are priceless

Classroom is not conducive to learning if it is:a) Overcrowded with more than a regular number of student to a class. This result is immobility or discomfort in moving around, especially when there is a need to operate instructional equipment and material.

b) With poor lightning facilities and inadequate ventilation. Attention and interest will be difficult to sustain.

c) Teacher’s learning style will determine how the student will respond, at time receptive, sometimes withdraw. This point to the way they move around during the class activity, how they give order in the form of request & how the procedure are clearly explained.

Some common practice in how to achive a maintain discipline

Discipline is the student responsibility.Discipline is the teacher way of establishing a desirable student-oriented environment for learning.

Discipline is a coupled with effective teaching strategies & technique. Discipline is achieve through the effect of group dynamic on behavior. Discipline in believed to be exclusive responsibilities of teacher.

Some tips to make you a good disciplinarian

Be prepared to face a class with multi-behavioral tendencies. Each individual acts in a unique manner. Not one will react in some way as the other. know your students well-their names family, composition & socio-economic status. In case of misbehavior, you will understand them & easily & an appropriate assistance.

Show your sincere concern for the welfare. Knowledge that you are care will develop among them self-control & self- discipline, as they grow they will be more responsible for their own behavior.Commendable behavior is reciprocal. Your winsome manners & positive attitude will be watched & w willingly duplicated in return.

Let out your good sense of humor. laugh with your students & sometimes yourself. it will reduce tension from all.Speak with good voice volume, not too loud to be come noise not to soft to be heard.Be humble in words & action. It could produce a maximizing affects.
