Strata Painting
Take a cardboard strip.
Cover it with white gesso.
Glue on various textures: Tissue Paper – torn “carefully “ into strips
Applied “carefully” in layers!!
Vary thewidth of each strata
Aluminum foil
Cotton balls
Chunks of paper
Toilet paper
Other Stuff
Remember!!! Make sure your varythe width of eachStrata. Now is the time to self-correct!!
Weigh downYour finished piece so it dries flat.
Once dry, add color and anything else you wish.In this case I turned my strata into a statement on fracking.
