B IBLE STUDY
9 .0 0 A.M. - 9 .4 5 A.M.
Sub-Theme/7: By Power Manifestation.Topic: Faith For Healing And Miracles.Texts: Matt 8:17; Mk 6:1-6.Aims: i) To be inspired to faith for healing and
miracles in the Church;ii) To be inspired to receive requisite grace and
develop same for results.
Introduction: Healing and miracles are a common heritage in Christ. Jesus went about ‘doing good’ and ‘healing all that were oppressed of the devil’ (Acts 10:38).’ He stated clearly that we can do more than Him (John 14:12). As we believe God for other things, we should also believe Him for the miraculous, including divine healing. This was included in the job description Jesus gave His disciples as He sent them on missions (Mk. 6:7) and they demonstrated divine power in healing (Mark 6:13; Luke 10: 17-19), to His pleasure.
Study Guide1a. What is divine healing? Jer.30:17; 33:6; Ja.5:13-15.b. What is the basis of healing and miracles?Matt.8:17;
Mark 9:23; 1Pet.2:24.2. How can faith for divine healing and miracles be
activated? Ps. 32: 5; Mk 9:23; Ja.5:13-15.
3. How might Christians develop the grace and anointing for miraculous healing?Eph.4:15b; 2 Peter 3:18.
Conclusion: It is the will of God that we demonstrate His power over sickness. We need faith, while also ensuring that there is no covered up sin, unforgiveness or an unconfessed affront to God or His servants that could provoke divine wrath in our lives. After all, God Himself could punish with disease or even death! We should not also under rate the critical role of the prayer of faith made by the saints.
Food For Thought: Trust God to heal both body and soul for His greater glory and man’s eternal benefit.
Memory Verse: 1 Pe.2:24.

PREPARING FOR THE
FINAL HARVEST
“ but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.” Matthew 13:25-26. Believers don’t need to ponder too much on the fact or reason that we are now living in the end time/last days. It is so obvious that every day we pick up newspapers, listen to the radio, watch on the television screen, and other social media we discovered God’s Prophecies being fulfilled. Yes! This should be to all Believers of Christ Jesus a sense of urgency to communicate to others about the good news of Jesus Christ.
The Central message of the parable of the “Wheat and Tares” is that the consummated kingdom of God will be different from the present kingdom in that the consummated kingdom will be in a perfected environment of only sons of the kingdom. Currently, sons
of the kingdom and sons of the “Evil One” live together in human society.
Brethren, the images of grain, crop and tares provide us with powerful insights into the quiet and slow ways that God’s Kingdom grows among us and within us. Central to the parable is preciousness of the wheat that the landowner refused to lose any of it in order to get rid of the tears.
The tare was allowed to grow with the wheat thinking it has a common destiny with the wheat, but low its end was destruction. The refusal of the landowner to allow his
servants to remove the wheat from the tareswhile they are still growing is a warning to all believers not to attempt to anticipate judgment of God by removing sinners from the Kingdom because the kingdom in its present stage is composed of the good and the bad.
Therefore, it is the judgment of God alone at the final harvest that will remove and eliminate the sinful. While preparing for the final harvest, we must wait patiently and preaching repentance to the lost souls. We must not get stuck in ruts; our moods must not be fixed intently on evil, but on the slow emergence and growth of good.
While we wait patiently in readiness for the final harvest, we may be sharing in the punishment of corruption brought about by sin into the kingdom, likewise, in the same way we will also share in the benefits of redemption and future glory that comprise the ultimate liberation of God’s people.Revd.
