Making draft 11

For this draft, I decided to try something different and have a more horror based type of poster as I felt that the genre of the poster wasn't coming across as much in the previous drafts.I typed ‘bloody backgrounds into Google.com to see if I could get any inspirations of slasher/gory posters.

From that, I chose to use this background as it was dark around the edges and had crack on the wall of which blood was pouring out from.

On Pixlr.com I edited this landscape image of Freddy holding a hammer and felt that too much of his face was visible which was a disadvantage as all Stalkers have their identity hidden. Thus I used the blurring tool and blurred out the entire image except for the hammer.

I then made the image darker by decreasing the lightness as too much light conveys to the audience that the model in the image is innocent. Whereas a dark image hence a darker poster portrays more negative therefore scarier perceptions.Save then paste onto Photoshop document.

Open image from downloads into Photoshop and set into position. This will be the background of the poster.

Paste and position the model into the center of the page leaving space at the top for the title.

Using the text tool, in capital letters type down ‘MOLLY’ and set the font to ‘Deadly Black Chain’.Make text white so that it stands out from the background and main image.

I used this poster to inspire me to do something different with the credits rather than having it three lines long, I could give it a stair case effect such as the one used here.

Using the ‘T’ tool, select ‘SteelTongs’ and type down the credits using text size 20.56p.Ensure that the name of the writer is at the top and gradually after every three names press ‘enter’ to give it the staircase effect.Make font white so it coincides with the main title and keeps the poster looking consistent.

Once you have done the credits, copy and paste production companies under the credits and keep a distance between one another.

Finally, type down ‘COMING SOON’ using the font ‘Northwood High’ and select a dark maroon colour that looks like blood.
