• Starcrest was formed in 2006 by Zameer Qureshi, after he exited from a career in the Shipping Industry.

• Starting from media buying and planning, Starcrest today is a full service advertising agency.

• It is accredited with Pakistan Broadcasters Association.

Zameer Qureshi - CEO

• Zameer comes from a background in Shipping and entrepreneurship, where he managed and successfully ran business operations in shipping, stevedoring and other areas.

• Zameer has headed various companies as CFO and CEO and has also worked outside Pakistan.

Shahzad Bashir – Creative Director• Shahzad Bashir has been in the advertising

industry for almost 15 years and brings with him an extensive experience of working at different levels on a diverse portfolio of clients. Prior to joining Starcrest in March 2007, he was heading the strategic planning department of Lakson Media Group.

• Shahzad is also an accomplished fine artist with several solo and group shows to his credit.

Salman Abedin – Director Strategic Planning• Salman is a core strategic planner with an

MBA in Marketing and over 14 years experience in Marketing, Design, Animation Direction, Teaching, Consulting and Communication Planning.

• He was Executive Director with Contract Advertising before joining Starcrest in March, 2009.

• Salman has also worked as Director Creative Strategy at BR&W (Brandworks).

• He also currently teaches at SZABIST Media Sciences Program.

Ikram Khan

• Joining Starcrest in 2009, Ikram comes to us with a long and versatile background in business and customer relations. Graduating from the University of Houston he spent the next seven years in California working for telecommunications and the automobile industry.

• After spending more then a decade abroad he decided to return to his native Karachi, where for over 3 years he was heading up a Marketing and PR division in a healthcare company.

Shahyan Qureshi

• Shahyan has been with Starcrest since November 2007, and is currently working as media manager in Starcrest.

• He has a Bachelors in Marketing and Management from Northwestern University, Iowa, US

• He was working for IBM in Toronto before moving back to Pakistan.
