Prayer to St. Michael
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares
of the devil. May God rebuke him,
we humbly pray; and do You,
O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God, cast into Hell, Satan and
all evil spirits, who roam throughout the
world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen
Pray to St. Michael for protection against the power of evil, and to bring us closer to God.

News From the Christian Service Office
A true test of faith…
sometimes that’s what a
parish festival is about. So
much planning, ordering,
organizing, sweat, time and
energy go into putting on a church festi-
val. We all pray for the weather to be
good on festival weekend, that’s a giv-
en. Do you know what I prayed for this
year? I prayed for Theme Baskets! I was
a little unsure if we were going to have
enough theme baskets because three
weeks before the Fun Fest we only had
25 baskets. That was a lot less than in
previous years. So I’ll say it… I was
worried! I should’ve remembered just
like in the song Table of Plenty….”God
will provide for all that we need”. So I
prayed and I watched our basket count
grow from 31 baskets, to 43 baskets,
and then 57, then 61 with the final total
of 74 baskets!!! Each day I would come
into work and there would be two or
three baskets outside my door. I blush
now when I think how worried I was
about the success of the raffle. So in the
end I prayed for good weather like eve-
ryone else and God answered our pray-
ers. I prayed for theme baskets and God
blessed us with 74 BEAUTIFUL bas-
kets! And now I continue to pray in
thanksgiving for all the blessings St.
Pio’s Parish received on festival week-
end.
So at this time I would like to offer my
heartfelt thanks and prayers to all the
parishioners and businesses who donat-
ed a theme basket to our raffle this year.
I would also like to thank all the volun-
teers who helped assemble, wrap, bow
and tag baskets, those who sold tickets
chances, and those who helped with set
up and teardown.
You have my unending thanks! Now onto to my next prayers for our
parish. Fr. Greg said I did such a nice
job getting my prayers answered for
theme baskets I should think about pray-
ing for financial donations to increase.
Maybe we can all work together on that
one.
When GRATITUDE becomes an
essential foundation in our lives,
miracles start to appear everywhere.
Hello, my name is Roxanne
Gronkiewicz and I am the
leader of Evangelization
Commission for St. Pio par-
ish. I am happy to announce The St. Pio
Bible Study. It’s called Scripture and
Sacraments. Our team of facilitators,
Shelly, Bill, Julie, David, Char, and my-
self will assist the small group discus-
sions and the Holy Spirit will lead the
way. It’s by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and we hope you’ll be inspired and en-
lightened by the Word of God.
As we learn and grow, we also hope
that you will encounter Jesus and share
what you’ve learned with others. Our
goal is that we gain better understanding
and knowledge of the Scripture and
Sacraments and why it’s all so important.
It is the core of our faith. We will look to
the Old testament and see that through
the prophets the path was made clear
who the Savior will be, what His purpose
is and why. It’s the promise from the
Father to give us His Only Son, Jesus, to
show us the way to the promise of the
Father through his life, death, and resur-
rection, which by this sacrifice leads us
to salvation and eternal life with Him in
heaven.
Won’t you please join us, all who are 18
years of age and older, on Friday eve-
nings starting September 15th, to find
your passion and purpose through the
Scriptures and Sacraments and grow
closer as a family of St. Pio parish. In
every weekly bulletin, there will be a
reminder for the following weeks
session.
Thank you and may God bless you.
