Shamrock HuntPrint the attached shamrocks with letters on them. Hide them aroundthe room and sing the song below:

You can also practice letter recognition using these shamrocks.
St. Patricks Day ParadeOn St. Patricks Day, have a parade! March around wearing ALLgreen. You can go all out with green leis, green hats, green beads,green nail polish, etc.
Leprechaun VisitBefore your child wakes up, leave green footprints all over the house.(An easy way to make footprints is to trace a shoe on green paper.)
You can even tape some footprints on the ceiling! Mess up thefurniture, etc. Leave a note from Leprechauns along with a treat ifdesired. When child wakes up, he/she will be surprised to see thatleprechauns have visited your house!!
Lucky Penny HuntHide pennies and see if children can find them. They can trade each

Word SearchFor older children, complete the attached word search and maze.
ARTHandprint ShamrockPress childrens hand into green paint. Press 3 handprints into ashamrock shape and add a stem using a green pipe cleaner.
Paper Plate LeprechaunPaint the rim of a paper plate orange. After paint dries, cut slits. (Thiswill be the beard.) Cut out a hat out of green construction paper. Youcan also add a black belt with yellow buckle for hat. Add a face on thecenter of the paper plate.
Felt ShamrocksCut hearts out of different colors of felt. Encourage child to puttogether different color combinations to create a shamrock on a feltboard. You could also photograph color combinations and ask yourchild to duplicate the shamrocks in the same way.
Rainbows
Paint a rainbow and glue on cotton balls as clouds.
SCIENCESensory TubMake a sensory tub using split peas. Bury gold coins inside the splitpeas and have children search for them in their pot of gold.
Color Mixing
If youre really brave, drop yellow food coloring and blue food coloringinto the toilet. Flush, and watch the colors mix to become green.

them different colors (or print on different colors of cardstock). Hidethe shamrocks around the room and let child collect them in a basket.
Help your child count out the number of total shamrocks.
Sort the shamrocks into colors.
You could also make patterns using the colors of shamrocks.
For older children, do some addition. Give green shamrocksplus one red shamrock equals six shamrocks.
Shamrock Measuring
Trace your childs body on butcher paper while they are lying down.Use a shamrock cut-out to do some measuring. How many shamrockstall are you? How many shamrocks long is your arm? You could alsopractice measuring other things in the house.
Shamrock Sizes
Use attached shamrocks to help your child put them in order by sizefrom smallest to largest.
Leprechaun Grid GameUse the attached grid game to roll a dice, identify the number, andcount out the manipulatives. (Such as green M&Ms). Place onemanipulative over each square on the grid until the grid is full.

COLOR: GREEN
Green Scavenger HuntUse the attached sheet to go on a green scavenger hunt. This couldbe really fun while looking through green sunglasses or green paper
glasses.
Kool-Aid Play-dough1 c. flour2 T. cream of tartar c. salt2 packages of green Kool-Aid.1 c. water1 T. oilGreen food coloring
1. In a saucepan, combine everything but the oil. Stir well.2. Stir in oil. Add drops of food coloring. Stir well.3. Move saucepan to stovetop and cook for 3-5 minutes on mediumheat. Stir well the entire time.4. When a soft ball starts to form, turn off the heat and remove thepan. Playdough will be hot.5. Remove the ball of dough from the pan and let cool for a second.6. Knead well until soft.
7. Store in airtight container or a ziplock bag.
Green Snack IdeasKiwi, green grapes, pesto, green beans, asparagus, avocado, broccoli,green apples, grasshopper pie, spinach tortillas, zuchinni, mintbrownies, cucumber, honeydew, lettuce, limes, peas, pistachiopudding.

Lime Slime Jello
Make lime slime jello as a snack. You could also make this jello andhide some of your childs favorite toys inside. It could become a funsensory experiment to dig out favorite toys inside the slimy jello!
Lime Slime Jello1 large package of lime jello (6 oz.)
1 large package of jello lemon pudding, cooked variety (6 oz.)
Make lime jello as directed on package. Cook lemon pudding asdirected on package, but omit the eggs. Stir pudding into jello.
Refrigerate at least 6 hours.
