Adoration, and we will pray a rosary. Please join us as we pray for our priests, religious and for an increase in vocations.
THE MAGNIFICAT My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; My Spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: The Almighty has done great things for me and holy is his Name. He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation. He has shown the strength of his arm, and has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he has remembered his promise of mercy, The promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children forever. —Luke 1:46-55
FAITH AND HOPE Faith and hope are closely united in today’s readings. The Israelites knew when the Passover was coming, and so were not in fear, but had faith and courage, “pu ng into effect with one accord the divine ins tu on.” In this we can see a foretelling of the Eucharist that we celebrate according to Christ’s command, “Do this in memory of me.” We see that Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, and Jacob died in faith, although they did not see fulfillment of the promise. We live in hope that our faith will be fulfilled every me we celebrate this sacrament. We too are not to be afraid, but to have hope that our faith will be fulfilled in the coming of Christ.

Are You Being Called to the Permanent
Diaconate? While all of the baptized are called to service Christ and His Church, some men are called in a particular way to serve Him through ordained ministry as permanent Deacons.
Like bishops and priests, deacons are ordained ministers of the Catholic Church. They are to be a sacramental sign to the Church and to the world of Jesus Christ, who came “not to be served, but to serve”.
The Diocese of Joliet will begin the process of inviting men to discern the call to the diaconate in a series of informational sessions:

The St. Andrew We Care Food Pantry is open every Wednesday from 10:00 am. until 12:30 p.m. for any eligible family in Romeoville in need of food assistance.
Our pantry is open only to Romeoville residents so proof of residency and an ID must be shown upon sign-in each week. If you are a parishioner of St. Andrew and you find yourself in need of food assistance, you are more than welcome to come to the We Care Food Pantry also. Proof of residency is a utility bill with your name and address on it plus your Driver’s License or State of Illinois ID. That must be brought in each time you come for food assistance.
The Pantry is located at 219 Arlington. For further information, please contact Shirley Grzenia at (630) 945-1317. This is the new phone number to call for food pantry inquiries and assistance. Thank you and God Bless.
