What is Wave Relay™?
• MANET is an acronym for Mobile Ad-Hoc NETwork.
• An evolution of MESH technology – A completely self-forming / self-healing network.
• Continuous connectivity on the move.
• Peer to Peer Multi-hop Connectivity between a set of nodes that are in motion.
• Operates at Layer 2 of the OSI/ISO Network stack.
• Operates like a seamless Ethernet switch.
• Supports Unicast, Multicast, and Broadcast traffic.
• No pre-existing network infrastructure is required.
• Continuous connectivity on the move
• Proprietary multi-casting algorithm.
• Seamless IP connectivity operating in a MANET
• Radios work as a “Collective”
• No limit to the number of radios that can form a network,
already tested successfully tested with up to 320 nodes.
• No limit in data hops
• No master node or single point of failure
• Secure communication – Suite B Encryption / FIPS 140-1
What is a MANET?
A Wave Relay network is self-creating and self-healing. The more nodes in
the network, the more robust the network will be.
The Wave Relay algorithm will automatically determine the most efficient path for the
flow of data across the MANET.
MISSION
Under the strategic coordination of an homeland
Crisis Room and the tactical coordination of a TOC
Enter hostile territory
Search, identify and seize Insurgent Leader
Neutralize insurgent reaction by coordinated
Ground/Air operations
Safe transport of IL to Coalition Base
Homeland Crisis Room
Strategic planning and
coordination. Mission monitoring.
Cloud Relay™ for Real Time
comms with deployed assets,
being part of the same MANET.
Established via SATCOM and
dedicated hub for
audio/video/data comms, with
additional fully integrated
3G/4G/5G UMTS or LTE
capabilities (VMF certified).
SafeStrike Holotable for Advance
Planning Capabilities and real time
mission monitoring.

Insurgent Leader
Special Forces assets receive order from TOC to go in
action
During the deployment the assets on the ground keep full
situation awareness of their position, activity, biomarkers.
The Homeland Crisis Room and TOC know where all the
assets are, hear what they hear, see what they see, in real
time, by means of the integration of multiple
communication channels managed under a command core
engine.
At any time the assets communicate via the best channel, in
a user transparent way and keep focused on delivering their
mission.
The GFC and the entire
platoon are able to
access a precise
mapping (Cat1 MrSID)
and elevation (DTED L-2
2) along with callsigns,
positions, bio status,
video of the entire
personnel via the Safe
Strike battlefield
management system
connected to the
network in use.
Also, the TOC and HCR is
receiving the same
information as the GFC
is forwarding them
encrypted on the server
via the network.
The tactical drone is
controlled by the users
enabled within the net.
The video is accessed by
the entire platoon via
MANET network and the
camera is controlled and
adjusted accordingly by
the users.
The Squad Commanders were able to visualize
the personnel not in line of sight via the AR
capability.
While the platoon was entering within
the village and all the Squad
Commanders had a detailed situational
awareness.
Special Force assets enter AO Search for Insurgent Leader
SafeStrike Artificial Intelligent engine identifies suspect from
Coaliton database
Info sent back to HCRand TOC and disseminated to
deployed assets according to pre-established need to know
criteria
HCR take strategic decision in coordination with TOC and
task deployed assets to execute it.
Suspect Insurgent Leader seized
Suspect further identified by other biomarkers
Suspect vital constants monitored via HRM & other
wearable biosensors
Convoy under attack Sniper detection and engagement
Real time evaluation of the fulfilment of the Rules of
Engagement
Forensic evidence
Blue Force, Green Force and Red Force Tracking
Target designation
Call For Fire request
CAS request (other options CCA, ECAS, etc..)
MEDEVAC request
Complete situation awareness for deployed assets,
TOC and HCR
Complete integration with Coalition Force
JTAC creates the 5-line CCA
format for the Attack
Helicopter without inputting
any number, defines the
ammunition/target, attack
heading graphically and sends
the form to the AH.
The Air Mission Commander
receives the format and
visualized the Close Combat
Attack on the map directly with
no requirements to input. Time
of CCA process 8 seconds.
The JTAC would be able to sent
in the same way a Close Air
Support 9-line, a MEDEVAC
request or a Call for Fire.
TOC and HCR are seeing the
same pictures, receiving the
same data, recording the
same mission.
The convoy safely arrives at the
Coalition Base – Post mission

tracks, engagements)

Wave Relay™ MPU5 and SafeStrike™ can be used to network the battlefield.
Voice, Video and Data can be streamed across the MANET network and displayed on
any kind of devise, allowing the establishment of fast, secure and robust
communications across any element of the deployed assets being part of the same
MANET and including with homeland assets via Cloud Relay™ technology.
The Wave Relay™ RoIP and SafeStrike multiplatform capabilities enable existing in
service radio to be integrated, allowing users to talk out of multiple systems directly
from an MPU5.
ISR video receivers already in use can be connected to the MPU5/SafeStrike
network making the video accessible to the whole network.
Unmanned systems (UAV, UGV) can be connected to the network managing the on
board sensors available to the whole network. UGVs/UAVs can be controlled directly
from SafeStrike.
SafeStrike pair with Wave Relay™ MPU5 offers the warfigthers unmatched tools for
planning, precision targeting, and mission delivery.
• System integration of a complete suite of advanced communication solutions.
• State of the art technologies, scalable and fully tailorable to present and future needs of our Armed
Forces.
• Combat proven ITAR free solutions (Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Mali, Lebanon, Somalia)
• Strong international collaboration
