LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE

Friday, December 6th

Line Up at 6:30 p.m.; Judging at 7:00 p.m.; Step-Off at 7:30 p.m.

Please submit your entry form by December 1st.

Parade line-up is at 6:30 p.m. at Virden High School parking lot on

Fortune Street.

Each unit will be assigned a number to indicate their position in

the parade.

No other Santa’s please. Santa Claus will arrive by firetruck in the

parade and welcomes children in his house following the parade.

All entries must be decorated in a holiday theme, including floats,

cars, trucks, golf carts, tractors, etc.

PLEASE consider the safety of your parade participants, especially

children sitting on floats. Children should have adult supervision.

Dress warmly; bring extra blankets or warm clothing, especially

for children.

Throwing candy is acceptable but please be cautious of children

running in the path of the parade to pick it up.

JUDGING:

Recognition Categories for: Businesses, Organizations, Religions,

Schools, and Best of Show

All entries will be judged at 7:00 p.m. prior to the start of the

parade.
