To manage the initial implementation of the enhanced basic education program and mitigate the expected multi-year low enrolment turnout for HEIs and TVIs, the DepEd shall engage in partnership with the HEIs and TEIs for the utilization of the human and physical resources.

Career Guidance

Refers to organized and systematic efforts that influence various aspects of career development of client groups to enhance self-esteem, career planning etc.

Career Advocacyrefer to the activities that will guide students in choosing career tracks that they intend to pursue.

To properly guide the students in choosing the career tracks that they intend to pursue, the DepEd, in coordination with DOLE,DOST, PRC,TESDA, and CHED shall regularly conduct career advocacy activities for secondary level students.

Section 27 of

Republic ActNo. 9258

Career and employment guidance counsellors, who are not registered and licensed guidance counsellor, shall be allowed to conduct career advocacy activities to secondary level students of the school where they are currently employed.
