What is Social Mobility?

O It is the upward or downward movement of individuals, families, or other categories of people within or between layers of social stratification.

O It is a change in social status relative to others' social location within a given society.

OMobility is most often quantitatively measured in terms of change in economic status of a person.

O Children belonging to a poor or disadvantaged family does not aspire much for higher education.
