Social Media Management Tools

Hootsuite http://hootsuite.com Hootsuite will allow you to schedule messages, save searches, and multi-task for Facebook, Twitter, and additional social media networks. It is the perfect tool for a social media manager!

Iconosquare http://iconosquare.com Iconosquare will help you to view Instagram images online, comment and like others’ images, and also provides metrics for your account.

Dropbox http://dropbox.com Dropbox is a helpful tool to use, especially when posting on Instagram. If you have a pre-made image you’d like to share on Instagram, save it to the Dropbox cloud on your desktop computer and then open it on the Dropbox app on your mobile phone. From there, you can save the image to your phone and upload it to Instagram, just like any other photo or image.

Typic+ Mobile Phone Application Typic+ is a fantastic (and free!) app that will let you edit and add texts/objects to photos or images from your mobile device. This is a great app for moments when you want to post something on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, but don’t have access to a computer.

Facebook Insights Link is accessible via your Facebook Page Facebook Insights helps you to view how well your Facebook Page is performing. You can track number of likes (and increase/decrease over time), post reach, engagement, and more.

Klout http://klout.com Klout helps you to see the big picture-approach with all of your social media accounts. Once you create an account, you can link all of your social networks to the site and it will calculate your overall influence score (on a scale of 0-100). On the main Klout webpage, you can look up scores for brands and individuals that will help you gauge how you’re performing. The average Klout score is 40, according to their FAQ site, and users with above a score of 63 are in the top 5% of users.

Canva http://canva.com Canva is acts as a free, online, user-friendly version of Photoshop. I used it to create my webinar presentation slides and I highly recommend it! It features templates, free graphics, plenty of fonts to choose from, and more. You can even choose customized image sizes for posting on social media, creating presentation slides, or making documents.
