Audacity (free software)

mp3 lame encoder (free software)

Start Menu

All Programs > Media > Audacity

Record a small section of audio.

File> Export as MP3You get a message asking if you want to locate the lame.dll file Click “Yes”

File> Save ProjectSave Project to the desktop (easier to find)

Name your project: Digestion – Fred N and Jane D

Basic Functions : Stop, Play, Record, Pause.

Highlight segments of audio with the mouse

Ctrl X – Cut

Ctrl V – Paste

The optimal volume level is between -12 and -6
