“Exceptional performance” in sales,service and satisfaction has earnedSkyline Mitsubishi of Thornton the2010 Diamond Chapter of ExcellenceAward. James Berry, Skyline’s generalmanager, was also honored with theTriple Diamond Sales Manager award,

which he has wonfor the third con-secutive year.

The awardswere by MitsubishiMotors NorthAmerica (MMNA).“The current eco-nomic climatemakes it a chal-lenging time to bean auto dealer, butSkyline Mitsubishihasn’t compromisedcustomer serviceone iota,” saidJohn Koenig,

MMNA’s executive vice presidentof operations.

“We work very hard to earn thisaward each year,” said Berry, whohas been with Skyline since 2003.“We don’t have the ad budgets of theFord, Chevy and Toyota dealers, andwe take the extra steps necessary tomaintain successful customer service.”

Top sellers in the Mitsubishi lineupat Skyline are the Lancer compactsedan and the Outlander SUV cross-over. “They’re built on the same

platforms,” said Berry, “and are par-ticularly well-suited to Colorado.”

Skyline, at 2040 W. 104th Ave., wasestablished in 1994.

Suzuki gas cardsales-spur attempt

A Suzuki sales slump the past twoyears has been so severe that someobservers have predicted that thecompany would abandon the U.S.sales market.

“With our new midsize sedan,Kizashi, and the fuel-efficient SX4,that won’t happen,” said KoichiSuzuki, executive vice president,American Suzuki AutomotiveOperations.

The Kizashi sport sedan, intro-duced five months ago, offers all-wheel drive. A well-equipped model ispriced around $25,000.

Customers who purchase a 2010Suzuki model through Aug. 31, willreceive a prepaid gas card to coverthree month’s worth of gas.
