PLEDGEIndia is my country, all Indians are my brothers and sisters.
I love my country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage.
I shall always strive to be worthy of it.
I shall give my parents, teachers and all elders respect and treateveryone with courtesy.
To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion.
In their well-being and prosperity alone lies my happiness.
WHERE THE MIND IS WITHOUT FEAR
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrowdomestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the drearydesert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by Thee into ever-widening thoughtand action
Into that heaven of freedom, My Father, let my country awake.
--Rabindranath Tagore
