The purpose

• Create a tool to educate and inform your peers

• Simplify a complicated subject or turn an otherwise boring subject into a captivating experience

• Present information in a way that is visually engaging

The Content

• Emphasize anything visual– Images–Color and open (white) spaces–Drawing– Font or lettering

• Limit the amount of text–Only 3 pieces of evidence from the text with page#

–Titles –Descriptors as needed

Do & Don’t

• Do consider how you can represent things visually rather than with words

• Do draw or add pictures

• Do use color to emphasize ideas

• Do include the title and author as well as 3 textual references

• Do be creative and fun

• Don’t try to fill every inch of the paper

• Don’t include large chunks of text

• Don’t rely on a white background

• Don’t simply print and paste pictures
