Chindo Internacional, S.A. is a company based in the Republic of Panama, that operates since 1990, with offices strategically located within the ports (only at the moment) of Cristobal (Atlantic) and Balboa (Pacific), to be able to offer a more efficient service to our clients.

Ship supplying is our specialty, offering a wide line of products of excellent quality and leaders brands in the market.

About Us

InfraestructureOur central offices, are located in Colon Free Zone. We have a warehouse with a construction area of 3,600 m2, strategically located in the France Field area, Zona Libre de Colón, near to several ports.

This allows us to offer our products with the best duty free prices (FOB).

Also we have offices in Panama City, that cover the entire national territory. Our ample fleet of trucks and smaller wagons allows to distribute our products in a fast and efficient form.

It has in addition, the record of movement of containers per hour (42.5 Cont./h). Like average, it moves more than 1 million containers per year.

Future Maritime Perspectives

• The maritime sector of Panama, is in constant growth. This observes in the fact that at the present time, it is only reached to supply 20% (between all ship suppliers companies) of the ships that arrive at Panamanian ports and cross the Panama Canal. In order to supply to a greater percentage, Chindo International has extended its infrastructure in order to cover with this demand that increases day by day.

Simultaneously exist projects that will increase the maritime traffic in Panama.

Future Maritime Perspectives

• Panama looks for to become the "Home Port" for the lines of cruises more important of the world and to be the number one "Home Port“ in the world. Actually there are negotiations with the lines of cruises: Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity,Cunard and Seabourn.• Extension of the Panama Canal. This will allow the transit of "Post-Panamax" ships with greater freight capacity, which at the moment cannot pass through the Canal. With this project the transit of ships of last generation, denominated "Post-Panamax“, by Panamanian ports would be increased and the transit by the Canal would begin.

• Construction of the "Megaport" with investment interest of the shipping P&O, Maersk Sealand, China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO), Port of Singapur Authority (PSA) and Evergreen. With this project the transit of ships of last generation, denominated "Post-Panamax“, by Panamanian ports would be increased.

"Post-Panamax" ships represent 8% of the ships that are constructed at the present time. These ships can transport approximately 129 thousand tons of dead weight. A Panamax ship can transport, approximately, 4442 containers of 20 feet, whereas a "Post-Panamax" can transport from 6000 to 12000 containers of 20 feet.

• Extension of the highway Panama – Colon and the construction of the freeway, facilitating the traffic of merchandise between the main

harbor zones of Panama, located in the ends Pacific and Atlantic of the Panama Canal.
