VII. PeopleTools Configuration for SES

For PeopleTools there are currently two components that need to be configured for Secure Enterprise Search, Integration Broker and Application Server.

A. Integration Broker Configuration for SES

1. Enter your PeopleSoft Web Server URL in the browser url address box a. http://scphilli-pc.peoplesoft.com/psp/ps/EMPLOYEE/ERP/?cmd=login (for example)

2. Hit the Enter key.

2. Login to PeopleSoft PIA, by entering your User ID (VP1) and Password (VP1), then click the Sign In button.

3. Update Integration Broker (IB) Local Gateway URL

4. Update Integration Broker (IB) Local Gateway URL

1. The Gateway URL box will contain http://machinename:port/PSIGW/PeopleSoftListeningConnector

2. Proceed to step 5.

5. Update Integration Broker (IB) Local Gateway URL

1. Update the machinename:port, in the Gateway URL field, with your Integration Broker WebServer machine name (or IP address) and port number. The rest of the Gateway URL has a default value and should not be changed. (i.e., The default value = /PSIGW/PeopleSoftListeningConnector ).

In the following configuration I replaced machinename:port with scphilli-pc.peoplesoft.com:80.

So the Gateway URL field = http://scphilli-pc.peoplesoft.com:80/PSIGW/PeopleSoftListeningConnector

6. Activate the Integration Broker Domain

1. At this point the Status of the IB Gateway machine, SCPHILLI-PC will be Inactive. 2. Proceed to step 7.

7. Activate the Integration Broker Domain - Continued

1. Activate the IB Domain status for your IB Web Server machine, by clicking on the drop-down box, in the Status column for your IB Gateway machine, select Active and then click the Save button.

Note: In PT8.50-806-R2 the Save button, doesn’t work. Use ALT-1 (1 = ONE) to save your changes

8. Ping the Integration Broker Gateway

1. In the Local Gateway section, click the Ping Gateway button, to ping the Integration Broker Gateway.

9. Ping the Integration Broker Gateway - Response

1. If the Integration Broker Gateway is Active, a web browser page, similar to the one below, will be launched.

2. The web browser page can be closed at this point by clicking the close button (red square with X).

10. PeopleSoft Node Configuration

1. Click on the Advanced Gateway Setup hyperlink.

1. Click on the Gateway Setup Properties hyperlink.

1. Enter administrator in the User ID field and password in the Password field.2. Click the OK button.

Note from Su May: When you get the error, “Java Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:” after clicking the OK button, you

need to COPY

This condition only happens when you are using a run-time environment that was created via copysys.

13. PeopleSoft Node Configuration – continued

1. The Gateway Default App. Server and the People Soft Nodes sections need to be updated.

2. Proceed to step 14 for more information about updating the Gateway Default App. Server and PeopleSoft Nodes.

14. PeopleSoft Node Configuration – continued1. In the Gateway Default App. Server section, specify the following information:

2. In the PeopleSoft Nodes section, specify the following information:

QEDMO system eProcurement system Node Name: QE_LOCAL PSFT_EPApp Server URL: //scphilli-pc:9000 //scphilli-pc:9000User ID: QEDMO VP1Password: QEDMO VP1 Tools Release: 8.50-806-R2 8.50-806-R2

3. Add the encrypted password for keystore.

4. Click the SAVE button.

15. Set Integration Broker Gateway Logging Level for Debugging

1. Click the Advanced Properties Page hyperlink

1. In the Gateways Properties section, scroll down until you find ig.log.level=22. Go to step 16

1. Change the logging level to 5, that is, ig.log.level=52. Click the OK button

19. Integration Broker Service Configuration

1. Click on PeopleTools -> Integration Broker -> Configuration -> Service Configuration

1. Update the Target Location. The Service and Schema Namespaces are filled in by default

1. Click on the PSFT_EP node hyperlink

Note: Make sure the PSFT_EP node is the DEFAULT NODE, as indicated by the Y in the Default Local Node column, and the Local Node value is 1.

Note: For QEDMO databases, the QE_LOCAL node is the default local node. Each PeopleSoft Application database has its own “local node” whose name will be different than QE_LOCAL, and can be identified by a DEFAULT NODE=Y and a Local Node=1.

1. The default values for the PSFT_EP Node are sufficient for SES at this time. No additional configuration is required for the Node Definitions tab.

2. Click on the Connectors tab

1. SES uses the default values: Gateway ID = Local and Connector ID = PSFTTARGET. 2. Click on the Portal tab

1. The Default Portal value of EMPLOYEE is okay. 2. Enter the Tools Release, the Application Release and the click the Save button.
