Why MEDI 365?Current storage facilities for medicines and supplies in hospitals are antiquatedand basically have changed little over the past thirty years. Processes forordering and supply are inefficient and labour intensive. There are manyoperational and logistical difficulties in dispensing medicines for a wide range ofusage within the hospital. Access to medicine cupboards is usually keycontrolled and is a continual source of delay. Audit trails are inadequate.
There is much anecdotal evidence to suggest that automation within thepharmacy helps pharmacy staff deliver better services to both patients and otherhealthcare professionals and result in genuine cost savings being made.
Fully controlled secure operator access via optional Pin /Password/SecurityCard and/or Fingerprint Verification.
Optional features enable you to produce a full detailed audit report showingusage by identified analysis fields such as User, Ward, Patient, Medicine, BatchNumber and Department. Every transaction is captured and the details of whodispensed what, when, how many and where used are available ‘real-time’.
Marked reduction in dose acquisition time - no keys, and stock easy to locateand less likely to be out of stock. High end-user satisfaction - nursing andmedical staff have very positive opinions of the units. Better stock management- reduction in returns and stock levels and therefore expenditure on medicines.Time saved counting and date checking stocks. Better utilisation of staff -nursing staff released to clinical care.
• An effective solution to poor medicines management • Stock managed effectively in relation to demand - not restricted to the
day of the week• Tried and tested technology successfully adapted to NHS needs• Still clinically immature• Potential for other areas

Management InformationAll machine transactions are accuratelyrecorded and held within the TVMS cardreader. The transactions are subsequentlydownloaded by dialing up to the Toolvendunit from the local branch. The captured information is then used toprovide reports. The toolvend Operator Audit report detailsall transaction activity and identifies theoperators via their unique authorisationsmart cards - very similar to the philosophyof the banking cash point card.
This information then enables tool usage tobe attributable to either the operator, cell, machine or component. The toolvend Product Audit report providesall transaction data of tool issues enablingeasy and accurate replenishment of themachine. This report can also assist withthe invoicing of products issued from themachine.
