WEEKLY PARISH CALENDAR
Communion Will be distributed at “usual” time. Bishop Barres has permitted parishes to return to the distribution of Communion after the Lamb of
God (and not after the conclusion of Mass). Please remember the following:
Masks are worn at all times, including when you approach for Communion.
Place one hand firmly under the other so as to avoid any contact.
Say “Amen,” step to the side, and consume the host.
Return to your seat for the Closing Prayer and the Blessing.
We will sing one verse of a Closing Hymn.
There are still no processions of the priest/ministers before or after Mass.
Other Notes:
Mass will continue to be live-streamed at 10:30 for those who choose to stay at home.
There is no obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice.
Those who are at higher risk from COVID-19 are strongly encouraged to stay at home.
This includes our Seniors and those who have underlying health conditions.
Those who are not feeling well, those with fever or cough of any sort should not come to
church for Mass or for a visit.
During Mass for your safety and those around you: Safe distancing must be maintained: at
least six feet: outside of church, the parking lot and inside the church. There is no congregating
inside or
outside church.
Seating: families may sit together all others stay six feet apart. Those who arrive early are to
move
to the center. No one is permitted to “climb over” those already seated. Pews have been
closed in
order to help with safe distancing.

Message from Father James Calledo
I arrived here in our parish, Friday, 11 September 2020. Since then, I have been greatly touched by the hospitality, kindness and welcome extended to me by my fellow priests (particularly by our pastor, Fr. Frank) and Parishion-ers of St. Mark’s and St. John’s as well.
I was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. I am the oldest of 7 and have 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Both of my parents are now deceased. I entered Minor Seminary (Cebu, Philippines) at the age of 12 and was ordained a priest in 1994. After serving 2 parishes in the Archdiocese of Cebu, with the permission of my Bishop (Cardinal Ricardo J. Vidal), I came to America in December 2000. My first assignment here in Rockville Centre was in St. James, Seaford (February of 2001 to June 2006). Then I was transferred to St. Anthony of Padua, East Northport (June 2006 to June 2013).
With the permission of Bishop Murphy, I joined the United States Air Force as an Active Duty Chaplain in May, 2014. My first assignment was in FE Warren, Air Force Base, in Cheyenne, Wyoming (June 2014 to June 2017). I did my first deployment to the Middle East from FE Warren. Then I was transferred to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany (from June 2017 to August 2020) and from there I did my second deployment to the Middle East.
Bishop Barres has assigned me as associate pastor here at St. Mark’s and St. John’s. He also gave permission for me to serve as a Chaplain at Gabreski Air National Guard Base, Westhampton Beach. I now transition from Active Duty Chaplain in the USAF to Catholic Chaplain in the Air National Guard. I will serve at Gabreski the first weekend of the month.
I am looking forward to journeying with you, as we grow in our intimacy with Jesus, our Savior, and with Mary, our Heavenly Mother. Please pray for me as I pray for all of you

support of our parish family!
The fruitful ministries at our parish are examples of how
many of you have answered, and continue to answer, that
call. To ensure such work can continue requires not only
gifts of time, but also of financial help. I ask you to prayerfully consider supporting
our parish with electronic donations through Faith Direct. You can find paper enroll-
ment forms in the parish office, or you can sign up online at www.faithdirect.net by
using our church code, NY67.
