Article ThesisO During the 1920s, the moral code of

the United States was changing; younger generations were rebelling through music, dance, fashion, smoking, and sex. This rebellion would snowball into a revolution that would effect America for years to come.

Section 3 ThesisO During the 1920s, the changes in the

overall image of women were centered on the emergence of a new American feminine ideal. Women were moving away from The Cult of True Womanhood and towards independence from men.

The Length

The shortening of the hemline

The Boyish Form

The new style for women.

Shorter Hair

The bobbed hairstyle takes over.
