No specific entry criteria ( although typically 3 GCSE’s) however applicants must be over 16 years of age, be able to meet strict medical standards and demonstrate that they have the potential to obtain rating certification and qualifications.

GCSE Entry: HE Access Course followed by Higher National DiplomaEntry Criteria: 4 GCSE’s at Grade C or above including Maths, Science and English (or equivalent)
A Level Entry: Foundation Degree ProgrammeEntry Criteria: In addition to GCSE requirement at least 120 UCAS
Entry via a Merchant Navy Cadetship Programme
Features of a MN Cadetship 3 Year sandwich programme including sea
service and college time Leads to award of Higher Education
Qualification plus first Certificate of Competency
Cadets are sponsored by a shipping/training company who pay all academic and professional fees and in many cases other living expenses plus an allowance.
