Predict. Plan. Persistently Save.
Facility engineers lead the efforts for commercial building owners and managers
to identify, evaluate and develop plans to streamline operations, reducing energy
consumption in the process. Too often, data from the Building Automation
System (BAS) and energy meters fall short in providing “actionable” information
to persistently save. The added complexity of changing weather patterns, tenant
comfort needs, degrading mechanical systems, and increasingly dynamic utility
rates makes the identification of problems more complex.
But…what if the buildings themselves were so intelligent, they could talk? Actually
prioritizing maintenance needs according to their potential for avoiding costs due
to energy consumption or performance degradation… Now, they can.

SCIwatch is the solution for your strategic initiatives
Scientific Conservation, Inc. brings you SCIwatch
SCIwatch is a highly scalable, non-invasive, predictive diagnostics and analytics platform that
interfaces remotely with building systems and automates data collection, sophisticated analysis,
and work order management. A Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), SCIwatch provides facility
engineers unmatched visibility into the performance of primary building energy-consuming
systems like HVAC, refrigeration and lighting. SCIwatch acquires data from the BAS at the sensor
level and uses engineering calculations and neural networks to provide early detection of system
faults, avoiding excess energy consumption and/or damage to a building’s critical equipment. SCIwatch offers a paradigm shift for facility engineers, from time-based to predictive maintenance.
Analyze with the SCIwatch Dashboard
The SCIwatch Dashboard is the primary interface for facility managers, engineers and maintenance
technicians to detect and prioritize faults by severity and excess energy cost. Granular fault
details are sent to the facilities team electronically (e-mail, text message, etc.) according to
user settings, and can be viewed anytime via a web browser with accompanying point detail
and analytics. Faults can be tracked in a select building or throughout an entire portfolio. A
specific fault can be assigned through a work order ticketing system which tracks the fault until
it is resolved, capturing operational knowledge that can be leveraged by the facilities team.
Records include user actions taken on faults detected, capturing key historical data for prediction and evaluation on any building in the portfolio with similar faults
Mapping offers an adjustable glance of your portfolio’s energy and maintenance performance
Optimize & Get Started
In buildings that are direct digital control (DDC), SCIwatch can quickly access
data for the entire facility through the BAS, with minimal disruption to the
facility team. The experienced SCI engineering and operations staff is comprised
of professionals from the building systems industry. During implementation
of SCIwatch, they will first assess secure connectivity options and review the
building’s key energy systems. Once connected, SCI evaluates incoming
data and configures SCIwatch for the building – and that’s when SCIwatch’s
neural network performs data analysis and delivers automated, predictive
fault detection on a daily basis. Through the active use of SCIwatch, building
managers can be assured of sustained building optimization.
Value Cost Savings
SCIwatch is offered globally on a subscription basis. Value can be measured by
operational efficiency—cost savings from predictive maintenance, as well as
reduced energy consumption and carbon footprint. Scientific Conservation
customers share a pursuit of operational excellence, and tend to be leaders in
sustainability and Green Building initiatives.
Even the greenest buildings drift. SCIwatch can be your
automated assistant in keeping your building at its best.
