Starter: What’s the point?

What are the reasons for going

to school?

What are the reasons that some people don’t go to

school?

Come up with as many reasons as you can in 5 mins!

Draw up a table in your books:

Add information into the table based on the diary entry and the clips

Solve the Problem!“I have to stay at home to take care of my younger

brothers and sisters”

Task: Imagine you work for UNICEF. How would you make it easier for one of these girls to go to school?

In pairs, come up with 5 things you would do and explain why they would help.
