M. MazzalongoBibleTalk.TV

8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

I Peter 5:8

9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

I Peter 5:9

10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.

I Peter 5:10

Strategy #1 - Lies

“…the father of lies…” John 8:44

Strategy #1 - Lies

Good is bad and bad is good.“Indeed has God said, ‘you shall

not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

Gen. 3:1

Strategy #1 - Lies

Good is bad and bad is good.Sin has no consequences. “…you will not die..” Gen.3:4

Strategy #1 - Lies

3 Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.”

II Peter 3:3-4

Strategy #1 - Lies

5 For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water,

II Peter 3:5

Strategy #1 - Lies

6 through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. 7 But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.II Peter 3:6-7

Strategy #1 - Lies

8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

II Peter 3:8

Strategy #1 - Lies

9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

II Peter 3:9

Strategy #1 - Lies

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

II Peter 3:10

Strategy #1 - Lies

Good is bad and bad is good.Sin has no consequences.God is against you.

Strategy #1 - Lies

5 For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Genesis 3:5

Strategy #1 - Lies

6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6

Strategy #1 - Lies

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.

Genesis 3:7

Strategy #2 - Isolation

Strategy #2 - Isolation

Then it happened in the spring, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him and all Israel, and they destroyed the sons of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David stayed at Jerusalem. II Samuel 11:1

Strategy #2 - Isolation

2 Now when evening came David arose from his bed and walked around on the roof of the king’s house, and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful in appearance.

II Samuel 11:2

Strategy #2 - Isolation

3 So David sent and inquired about the woman. And one said, “Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?”

II Samuel 11:3

Strategy #2 - Isolation

4 David sent messengers and took her, and when she came to him, he lay with her; and when she had purified herself from her uncleanness, she returned to her house. 5 The woman conceived; and she sent and told David, and said, “I am pregnant.”

II Samuel 11:4-5

Strategy #2 - Isolation

Isolation is not a sin but it makes us more vulnerable to

sin.

Strategy #3- Enthrallment

Enthrall = To Capture the Interest = To Hold Spellbound = To Overwhelm

Strategy #3 - Enthrallment

IE.-Lot’s Wife - Gen. 19:26 -David - II Sam. 11:1-5 -Demas - II Tim. 4:10

Strategy #3 - Enthrallment

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.

James 1:13

Strategy #3 - Enthrallment

14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

James 1:14-15
