Aztlán Island2009 - present

• Aztlán is the legendary ancestral home of the Nahua peoples. "Aztec" is the Nahuatl word for "people from Aztlán.”

• Aztec/Aztlán heritage represents the diversity of our regional histories.

• The island design combines realism in the form of familiar SDSU architectural landmarks and local terrain with the creative idealism for which Second Life® is famous.

Student Projects2009 - present

3D modeling by students in the School of Television, Theatre, Film and New Media

Senior Capstone projects by students in the School of Art and Design to create virtual exhibits for the University Art Gallery

Interdisciplinary Studies graduate student created a machinima film studio

One-unit Educational Technology course, called Teaching in Second Life, for California, K-12 teachers
