Scrub and vacuum the entire interior of the vehicle. Leaving traces of food could attract pests which can damage your RV.

Go through each cabinetand remove all food items.

Remove all food and thoroughly clean the fridge and freezer.

Defrost the freezer.

Insert a box of baking soda to absorb odors – keeping the fridge and freezer smelling fresh.

Leave doors ajar for airflow to help prevent mold and mildew.

Ensure that all windowsand roof vents are closed.

Close all blinds. Long exposure to sun can damage your vehicle’s interior.

Disconnect the auxiliary battery before storing your RV to prevent appliances from draining your battery while it’s in storage.

Winterize your water system to prevent lines from freezing and damaging your vehicle.

Visit your RV dealer or refer to your owner’s manual for winterizing instructions.

Completely dry the exteriorof your RV before storing.

If your RV is equipped with an awning, ensure it is completely dry before rolling up or sliding in to avoid mold or mildew.

Prevent corrosion to the undercarriage of your RV by washing away the salt and chemicals thrown up by your tires while driving.

Use silicone or expanding foam to fill in all gaps and holes to prevent rodents from entering and eating the wiring of your vehicles.

Keep tires inflated to recommended pressure to avoid flat spots on your tires.

Cover the tires to prevent damage from long-term sun exposure.

Add a fuel stabilizer to prevent engine damage if storing your vehicle for a long period of time.

Shut off the propane supply valve to prevent propane loss or a hazardous gas leak.

Protect your RV with a full cover to keep it looking and running great.

If you don’t have a cover, wrap the air conditioner to prevent damage from prolonged exposure to weather.
